Hey Ya'll
Happy Monday.
Some perspective for today.
Your outcome goal in all areas of life is just a number you've made up that has many variables affecting if you get there or not. Many of these are out of your control.
What you can control are your daily habits and actions that you know if you do consistently will lead to progress.
You have no idea if your body can lose 20 pounds in 8 weeks and what factors are working for and against you.
But you do have an idea of your nutrition, your workout schedule, your sleep and your stress management.
If you focus on all of the things you can control you will make massive progress.
You might lose 15 and you might lose 25.
But if you lost 15 you didn't fail. You won and provided you keep going what is working you will continue to win.
Next time you don't reach a goal in a given time frame just remember this perspective and that there is always more time.
And if fat loss is the goal, remember that if you missed your initial target there are other things that helped you "win". Strength, energy, confidence, new fitness friends, losing inches, better mood, being a better role model and SO many more things come from sticking with your habits.
If life is better, keep going!
The same goals for all of your goals.
If you wanted a promotion of 10,000 per year at work but got 8,000 was it a failure if you are now more productive than ever, have a better relationship with your boss and coworkers and opened up a ton of doors for the future?
If you wanted to gain 40 pounds on your squat in 8 weeks and only got 30 was it a failure if your legs are looking the best they ever have, your glutes grew more than you thought they wood and your core is rock solid?
You usually don't need a new plan when you fall short of a target you arbitrarily set.
You usually just need to keep going!
Here for questions as needed.
Have a great day and week ahead.
Matt
