Full Program Overview

Core Harmony is a comprehensive six-week program consisting of progressive exercises tailored to improve pelvic floor function, stability, and mobility. Led by an experienced pelvic floor physiotherapist certified in pelvic health, each session combines targeted exercises with mindful movement techniques to optimize results.

Urinary incontinence is a common problem amongst women of all ages impacting over 50% of women. Urinary incontinence has a huge impact on quality of life, however most women (over 60%) experiencing symptoms do not seek help. A big part of this is that we have normalized the problem - “well I have had kids” “well I am older now” “I’m going through menopause” Then we adapt our activity or avoid certain things to limit the symptoms. No matter how common this issue is, it is not normal and is something that can be improved with consistent progressive rehab and/or treatment with a pelvic floor physio.

Key Components:

Education: Understanding the pelvic floor anatomy and its role in core stability is essential. Participants will receive educational materials and guidance to enhance their awareness of pelvic floor health and function.
Progressive Workouts: The program includes a series of guided workouts progressively structured to challenge and strengthen the pelvic floor and core muscles. Each session integrates a variety of exercises, including pelvic floor engagement, coordinating with the core and pelvic floor, and functional movements tailored to individual needs.
Breathwork and Relaxation Techniques: Proper breathing patterns play a crucial role in pelvic floor function. Participants will learn breathwork techniques to coordinate with pelvic floor exercises and promote relaxation, reducing tension and improving muscle control.
Mindful Movement Practices: Mind-body connection is integral to pelvic floor rehabilitation. Through mindful movement practices such as yoga-inspired flows and Pilates-based exercises, participants will enhance proprioception, balance, and stability while fostering a deeper connection with their bodies.
Individualized Modifications: Every participant's journey is unique. Our physiotherapist will provide personalized modifications and adjustments to accommodate individual abilities, limitations, and specific pelvic floor concerns.
Benefits:
-Improved pelvic floor strength and function
-Enhanced core stability and posture
-Reduced symptoms of pelvic floor dysfunction, including incontinence and pelvic pain
-Increased mobility, flexibility, and body awareness
-Boosted confidence and overall well-being

This workshop offers a holistic approach to pelvic floor rehabilitation, empowering women to reclaim control over their pelvic health and quality of life. With physiotherapist guidance, progressive workouts, and a supportive community, participants will embark on a transformative journey towards optimal pelvic floor wellness and vitality.
