Everyone is different, but we have created a program that will help the most amount of people possible be successful with their goals.
In our opinion, strength training (boot camps) is critical for your long term health. It is the best way to build and maintain muscle while reducing bone loss as you age. It has many benefits, but it is the one thing that will help you age better! 2-4x a week is ideal and will get you great results.
From there, the rest is up to you. You want to find a routine that you enjoy so that is sustainable. Cardio takes on many different forms. It can be walking, running, biking, hiking, swimming, sports or anything at all that gets you moving. Walking is very underrated. It's great for burning calories, getting outside for mental health and it helps with recovery from your other workouts. If you are strength training 2-4x a week and you are doing more high intensity cardio we may suggest 1-3x a week for your strength classes and always making sure to take rest days if you are feeling tired.
From there, yoga and mobility are a perfect compliment to your strength and cardio. Yoga, stretching, foam rolling etc can be done often through the week based on your schedule and your goals.
