Coach Amy here, and I want to be very upfront about what you should expect from this program.
First - a little about how I got here. I began my journey in health and fitness in my early 30s. I was at an unhealthy point in my life, inching towards 200lbs, and I simply wanted to lose weight. So, I sought out some help at Evolve Fitness. Years later, I can honestly say that is the best decision I have made in the course of my life.
Although I did lose a significant amount of weight, I quickly realized that strength training and exercise go way beyond any weight loss goals. I fell in love with it so much that two things happened. I started competing in powerlifting and have been very successful with that over the last few years, even placing 2nd at an international level in 2024. Second, I completely 180’d my career and went from owning and operating a specialty cake business out of my home to becoming a full time strength and nutrition coach.
My passion as a coach is in women’s health, and menopause is going to make up a third or more of a woman’s life. While there are certainly some unpleasant parts of it, menopause should not be something that is feared or dreaded. There are lots of tools available to help increase the likelihood of a smooth transition, and our fitness, nutrition, and other lifestyle choices are a huge part of that.
In recent years, the menopause conversation has grown. And that is a wonderful thing. But along with that, comes a lot of fear, misinformation and “solutions” that are not backed by science. I’m here to help you weed through it all and give you real, evidence based recommendations that work with your life. We’re not basing our decisions off of the latest popular instagram reel ;)
There are two important things I want you to know before you decide to sign up:
1. I’m not a medical professional. Our focus will be on lifestyle choices, and there may be situations where I refer you to someone more qualified. I do believe that every woman should explore the option of menopause hormone therapy, and I can help educate you and prepare you for those conversations. And if MHT is off the table for you, there are sometimes other interventions that you can explore.
2. Your success depends on you. I am here to coach you, help you figure out what actions and choices work for you, and support you in implementing those actions. But I cannot do it for you. YOU still have to take action and do the work.
It won’t be easy to take those actions every day. But as long as you don’t give up when it gets hard, progress is still happening. So if you’re ready to commit to that, I’m ready to help you!
