Every quarter, starting in 2026, Evolve is choosing a charity and raising/donating money in the following ways:
1. From anyone who joins a trial offer at any Evolve location. 100% of all trial revenue is donated.
2. From our no show policy for classes at our gym. 100% of all revenue from this is donated.
3. From various community classes and workshops offered across locations that can be joined by donation
4. By accepting donations.

About us
Our community is made up of people who have intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD’s) – and those that don’t! We’re in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Together, we build friendships, share experiences, and create inclusive spaces where everyone can learn, grow, and thrive.
Our programs, services, and businesses give us choices, help us learn important skills, and create chances for us to be part of the community and work. throughout HRM.
What we do
We create safe spaces where people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDDs), are valued, connected, and encouraged to succeed.
-Our programs, services, and businesses offer choices, give people chances to make friends and earn money, and help people learn important skills.
-We connect people with IDDs to fair-wage jobs and provide support along the way.
-We help you set your own goals and build a life that’s right for you!
Our mission
Prescott Group’s mission is to support people with disabilities to experience choice and opportunity, with recreation, meaningful relationships, skills development, and work, in our communities.
Workout By Donation
1. You can do a trial offer at Evolve Fitness for just $1 and add an optional donation of any amount. We start this trial every 4 weeks and the best way to get notified to join is by getting on the waiting list here.
2. Community events. Every month we will have donation only chances to attend a variety of health based events at Evolve locations. Sometimes they will be access to our workouts, special workouts, workshops or out in the community events.
If you want to put together something for you and your friends or coworkers, we will happily host you and donate 100% of our fees to the cause.

Why This is So Important To Us
Mitch and I believe in paying it forward and this as instilled in us from a young age. We are lucky to have hard working parents who taught us work ethic and to treat others with kindness and respect.
We were also fortunate to play team spots and to have coaches and teachers who went above and beyond to help us grow as athletes and as human beings.
Two easy examples. Our high school gym teacher picked us up before school every day at home so we could practice basketball before school. Our high school soccer coach created and coached a summer soccer team after the Truro team we all normally played on folded. This is just a fraction of the experience we had.
I could go on for days because mentorship and people giving back to me personally and to my business continued the moment I opened Evolve in 2009. We would not still be here today if not for those who chose to help me/us without hesitation.
Mentors, parents, teachers etc don't ask for anything in return. But we feel like we can do our part paying them back with our community efforts and paying it forward to the next generation.
We also believe that if you have a platform, you can do nothing or you can use it for good. Evolve is a truly special community full of people who share our values. We are grateful to stand along side our clients and community and be able to work together to give back.

1st Quarter Give 2026
Our January/February/March 2026 give will be going to Family SOS.
Family SOS is a local, non-profit, child-centred organization directed toward building strong and healthy families. As an inclusive family support agency, Family SOS offers free comprehensive programs that will benefit all family members.
Our work focuses on:
-Increasing parenting confidence
-Developing relationships within families
-Fostering self-awareness
-Improving confidence in children and youth
-Encouraging pro-social choices
-Strengthening communication within families
-Improving health and well-being
-Empowering self-sustainability
Founded in 1978 by Dr. John Anderson, a pediatrician at the IWK, Family SOS was created after Dr. Anderson saw firsthand the need for a proactive, preventative approach to supporting families.
What began as a small initiative to build parenting confidence and strengthen family connections has grown into a trusted community organization serving families throughout HRM.
